Pontea A. Momeni, O.D., graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. She received her Doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was recognized for outstanding performance in Cornea and Contact Lens, Pediatrics, and Family Practice clinics. Furthermore, she was the 2013 award recipient of the Zelda-Schiffman Neuro-Ophthalmology Award – a specialty award for excellence in clinical assessment and patient care at the Multiple Sclerosis Eye CARE clinic.
Dr. Momeni is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. She is dedicated to practicing the full scope of optometry by providing quality patient care through the use of advanced technology and clinical procedures. Dr. Momeni specializes in identifying refractive surgery candidates, custom contact lens fittings, and performing dilated eye exams for the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases.
