Elizabeth Trujillo, O.D., graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Afterward, she attended the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, TX where she received her Doctorate in Optometry.
Upon graduation, Dr. Trujillo completed additional clinical training at a primary care private practice and a surgical and referral center in Houston before joining Berkeley Eye Center. Her clinical rotations focused on ocular disease, dry eye management, specialty contact lenses, and pre and post-operative management of refractive surgery candidates and cataract patients. During her time at the Rosenberg School of Optometry, Dr. Trujillo was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of several organizations, including Student Texas Optometric Association. She was also the recipient of the Johnson & Johnson Award of Excellence in Contact Lens.
In her free time, she likes to go hiking, travel, and spend time with her husband and pet dog.
