Manzil Quadir, O.D., is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She provides comprehensive care from routine eye exams to medical treatment, with a passion for fitting custom specialty contact lenses in patients of all ages.
Dr. Manzil Quadir grew up in Sugar Land, Texas before attending Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Anthropology. She then pursued her doctorate in optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating with high honors. Dr. Quadir completed research through the National Eye Institute, focusing on glaucoma pathology and the effects of strain and substratum mechanics on human trabecular meshwork cells. She served as the national student liaison to the World Council of Optometry and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society and the prestigious Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society. Additionally, she was among few students to rotate through The Ocular Surface Institute, where she learned the latest treatment and management methods for dry eye disease. Her efforts earned her multiple awards for leadership, clinical care, and community service.
Dr. Quadir has extensive training and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases and in complex contact lens fittings in patients with keratoconus, corneal transplants, severe dry eye disease, and post-refractive surgery complications. She has a passion for fitting medically necessary contact lenses including rigid gas permeable, scleral, orthokeratology (CRT), and hybrid lenses. She is passionate about myopia management and is certified in corneal refractive therapy and MiSight lenses.
Dr. Quadir resides in Spring, TX with her husband and son. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling and is also dedicated to giving back to her community through volunteering. She loves to explore new places and experience new things, always striving to live a full and rewarding life.
Dr. Quadir is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
