Sarah S. Weeks, O.D., a Texas native, joined our team of experienced doctors in 2017. Dr. Weeks, board certified therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist, provides medical and routine eye care to patients at our Woodlands location. Dr. Weeks believes in using an integrative approach that focuses on patient’s overall systemic health and its effect on eye health and vision. She specializes in customized soft and hard contact lenses, laser refractive surgery management, and the treatment of anterior segment ocular disease, specifically dry eye disease and scleral contact lenses.
Graduating at the top of her class, Dr. Weeks received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Biochemistry from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2016 where she was inducted into the distinguished Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Weeks completed extensive medical training focusing on ocular pathology, scleral contact lenses, refractive surgery and cataract surgery at Berkeley Eye Center in Houston, Texas, and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, Texas. During clinical rotations, Dr. Weeks was also selected to work at the prestigious UEI Dry Eye Center where she provided care for advanced ocular surface disease patients.
Dr. Weeks is committed to providing high quality health care with a focus on each patient’s
individualized needs, and she contributes to the community by volunteering with The Women’s Fund of Houston, an organization that provides health education and resiliency skills to women and adolescent girls. As a former collegiate softball player, Dr. Weeks enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through many activities including snow skiing, pickleball, and chasing her kids at the local park. As a mother herself, Dr. Weeks enjoys seeing children for their eye exams and believes that early detection of eye disease and refractive errors is an essential component in facilitating healthy child development. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
