Thuyuyen N. Hoang, O.D., practices comprehensive optometry for patients of all ages, primarily at our Clear Lake clinic. Her clinical philosophy is to treat every patient who walks through the door like family.
Dr. Hoang is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Houston. Then, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
During optometry school, Dr. Hoang was the secretary of the National Optometry Student Association. Dr. Hoang’s clinical rotations included Ocular Disease and Medical Services and University of Houston College of Optometry Eye Center. Through these rotations, she provided primary eye care, contact lens fitting, pre- and post-op care in refractive and cataract surgery and management and treatment of ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration.
When Dr. Hoang isn’t in the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and hiking with her dog. As her hobby, she creates abstract paintings and hosts paint/wine nights with friends.
