Timothy P. Sipos is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in vitreoretinal disorders such as complex retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes/puckers, and macular degeneration. He has significant experience with complex lens cases and ocular trauma.
Dr. Sipos attended college at Abilene Christian University, where he received his bachelor of science in biochemistry. After college, he attended medical school at Texas A&M College of Medicine, where he was elected into the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He then completed his medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, Texas. Dr. Sipos rounded out his medical training by finishing his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Retina Specialists of Alabama in association with the University of Alabama at Birmingham. During his time in fellowship, he completed over 1100 surgeries and procedures and received acknowledgment from the Helen Keller Foundation for his contributions in retina research.
Dr. Sipos has a passion for international medical mission work and medical advocacy. As a native Houstonian, Dr. Sipos grew up as an avid Astros fan and enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and spending time with his family.
